The next time you visit the Lehigh Valley Coca-Cola plant, you will notice we've done some landscaping in the front of our building. We removed a few old pine trees, pruned the existing shrubs, added new bushes, and landscaping stone, to finish off the project.

Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley Will be the Official Soft Drink Provider of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms
The Phantoms, the American Hockey League’s top
development team of the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers, announced a 10-year
agreement with Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley to make the
company exclusive pouring rights partner of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and its
future arena in Allentown, Pa., PPL Center. When the puck drops for the
inaugural season on October 1, 2014, the team will be known as the Lehigh
Valley Phantoms. Coke will be the
official soft drink of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and the company will name a
Coca-Cola Party Suite in PPL Center that will be available for rent during
events. The announcements were made jointly by Joe Brake, President and General
Manager at Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley, and Jim and Rob
Brooks, co-owners of the Phantoms.
PPL Center will be at the heart of the Lehigh Valley and
is a catalyst for the renovation and revitalization of downtown Allentown.
Scheduled to open in the fall of 2014, PPL Center will host more than 140
events each year, including Phantoms games, live concerts, trade shows, youth
sports, high school and collegiate events, conferences, graduations and family
programs like Disney on Ice, Cirque du Soleil and the Harlem Globetrotters. PPL
Center will seat more than 8,500 people for hockey and over 10,000 for concerts
and other events.
“The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of the Lehigh Valley is
very proud to partner with Jim and Rob Brooks as the official soft drink of the
Lehigh Valley Phantoms,” Brake said. “We are excited to have a first-class
professional ice hockey team located in the Lehigh Valley, and are happy to
have the opportunity to be a part of the excitement and energy of center city
Allentown.”
“Coca-Cola Bottling of the Lehigh Valley has strong
partnerships with many of the region’s entertainment venues, and we look
forward to a successful tie-in with the Coca-Cola brand and this family-run
company for the next decade,” said Jim Brooks.

Last summer in late August, Coca-Cola took to the skies with the Lehigh Valley Airshow at Lehigh Valley International Airport as the beverage sponsor.

Every March, Coca-Cola takes part in the Bethlehem St. Patrick's Day Parade. Our employees and their families have fun sharing Coca-Cola with the parade watchers. This year, the IronPigs mascots FeRROUS and FeFe, and the Phantoms mascot Daks, joined us in the community celebration.

Coca-Cola partnered with Just Born Candy, home of the Peeps, for the 5th Peeps Fest at the ArtsQuest, SteelStacks Center on December 30th & 31st for a two day family festival. The Coca-Cola Polar Bear, Peeps Chick and Elmo mascots, along with live South African penguins and lovable sled dogs, were all on hand for this free family fun event. Our sales team built an amazing 15' x 20' Coca-Cola Ski Chalet (pictured below). The children enjoyed meeting the Coca Cola Polar bear inside the chalet and received a special gift from him.The Coca-Cola Polar Bear met his match....a polar bear made entirely of Peeps (see below).

Recently we announced a partnership with another entertainment venue in the Lehigh Valley. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms Ice Hockey Team in downtown Allentown!
When the puck drops at the new arena in September, we will be the official soft drink of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Meet Daks, the mascot for the Phantoms. (Below, resting on top of the car).

Every year, each suite holder at Coca-Cola Park decorates their suite for the annual Suites & Treats event. Coca Cola employees decorate and take part in this safe "trick-or-treating" alternative for under-privileged and special needs children in the Lehigh Valley. This past year, we decorated the suite as "The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". In the past we decorated our suite with different themes, such as 'Hollywood' and a 'football field with goal posts'. It's a lot of fun and we love giving back to the community.

Lehigh Valley Coca-Cola partners with Peeps Brand for New Year’s Eve
Author: Chuck Evans, Director of
Sales
Over the past couple years, CCBC of the Lehigh Valley
has promoted and partnered with the Lehigh Valley community for Holiday Events
for families. This Holiday season would
not be an exception as we partnered with this year's PEEPSFEST™ at
ArtsQuest/SteelStacks and is shaping up to be the best one yet as PEEPS® Brand
celebrates their 60th anniversary.
Families are offered two days packed with PEEPS®-related
programming, Lehigh Valley Zoo animals including South African Penguins and Dutch
Springs’ dog sled teams; culminating on Dec. 31st with the dropping of a
4.5-foot tall, 85-pound, lit PEEPS® Chick and fireworks to welcome in the New
Year.
Among the many new attractions for 2013 will be a life size Coca Cola Gingerbread House made out of 12 packs with a PEEPified Roof, which will feature a contest of ‘guess how many 12pks it took to construct?’ In addition, the house will include a special visit of the Coca-Cola Polar Bear for all families to get their picture with and share a Coke and a Smile.

This is an exciting community event and a special time for “Quenching
the Thirst of our Neighbors”. We are
fortunate to have talented people that work magic in sharing their creative
juices and brainstorming massive and interactive displays, and showing their
pride of our company to be a part of the community.

Employee Appreciation with SafeStart fun!
On August 15 and 16, employees at Coca-Cola Bottling of the Lehigh Valley and Coca-Cola Bottling of Chester County were treated to an Employee Appreciation lunch to say thank for all their hard work throughout the year.
SafeStart concepts were tied into the luncheon with a Quiz Booth and an Egg Drive. Employees who answered the SafeStart questions correctly in the booth were eligible to win a prize and the employee who backed in closest to the "egg" without hitting it (thus avoiding the line of fire) won a prize. In Chester County, Sideloader driver Ryan VanZanten was the closest and in our Lehigh facility, Andrew Miller, Clamper, won the overall contest. Congratulations and great job by everyone who participated!
